Day 1: Meet our coach this morning as we head toward Cheshire - arriving at Alvaston hall this afternoon.
Settle-in to your ensuite room and look forward to dinner and entertainment this evening.
Day 2: A visit to Chester - one of the nicest Cities in England. You’ll have plenty of free time to yourself – you’ll find there’s great shopping, cosy pubs and tea rooms open. You could enjoy a cruise on the River on one of the frequent sailings or walk the famous Roman Walls that surround the town centre.
If you really want to splash out - take afternoon tea at the 5 star Grosvenor hotel!
Day 3: A trip to gorgeous Trentham Gardens – “One of the UK’s must-see gardens“ Says Alan Titchmarsh..... The Trentham Estate is one of the country’s top visitor destinations attracting 3 million visitors a year. Comprising of 725 acres, it is the last remnants of one of England’s great garden estates. Recent years has seen the revival of the famous Italian Gardens led by renowned designer and multi-Chelsea gold-medal winner Tom Stuart-Smith. At the centre of Trentham Gardens is the mile long, Capability Brown designed, Trentham Lake. Take the circular lakeside walk all the way round as it takes you aside the River Trent, by the bird hide and through Capability Brown’s cascading weir. Admission to the Gardens is included
Day 4: We visit the ancient Cheshire town of Nantwich and also Bridgemere Garden World - Britain’s largest and most spectacular garden centre.
Day 5: Enjoy a last, hearty Warner’s breakfast before we leave for home..
