Day 1: Arrive Eastbourne Meet our coach this morning as we head to Eastbourne. We arrive late afternoon, with time to settle in and get acquainted with the hotel before dinner this evening.
Day 2: Herstmonceux Castle and Carr Taylor Vineyard. After breakfast we take a short journey to Herstmonceux, renowned as one of England’s most magnificent moated castles, set in 600 acres of beautiful parkland and Elizabethan gardens.
This afternoon we visit the family owned and run Carr Taylor Vineyard near Hastings. The first British Vineyard to produce ‘English Champagne’! You’ll enjoy a tour, then a sit-down talk and sampling their fine wines plus tea/coffee and cake.
**At times when Herstmonceux is closed we visit Bateman’s - Rudyard Kipling's beamed, 17th-century rustic home, with the writer's furnishings and artefacts
Day 3: Beachy Head and Brighton. Crossing the South Downs we enjoy the panoramic views of Beachy Head continuing along the coast to Regency Brighton with its beautiful Royal Pavilion, the famous Pier and the atmospheric Lanes shopping area.
Day 4: Free Day Take in the sea air, stroll along the pristine promenade or visit one of the many parks. Browse the shops and seaside attractions.
Day 5: Depart Eastbourne after breakfast we will bid farewell to Eastbourne and start our journey home.
