Day 1: Join our coach this morning on a leisurely journey into South Wales as we head for Pembrokeshire and board the 2:30pm Ferry to Rosslare in Southern Ireland.
Crossing takes 3½ hours and once in Ireland, it’s about 1½ hours drive to our hotel in Dungarvan, Co Waterford.
Arrive in good time for dinner and a relaxing first evening in Ireland.
Day 2: A trip to the city of Kilkenny. On the way we travel through the beautiful scenery of the Nire Valley region. There’s lots to see and do in Kilkenny (the Castle is well worth a visit).
Day 3: A trip to Ireland’s third city of Cork which is fascinating city and important sea port.
On the way to Cork we also stop a while in Cobh (pronounced ‘Cove’). A very nice quiet coastal town with a beautiful Cathedral.
Cobh is famous as the last port of call of the Titanic on its maiden voyage in 1912 and as the port of departure for 2.5 million of the 6 million people who emigrated from these shores in the century after 1848.
Day 4: Today is left free so you have a chance to explore Dungarvan at your own pace.
Day 5: We leave after an early breakfast and catch the 9am ferry back to Pembrokeshire then continue home to your original joining point.
