Day 1: Join the coach this morning for a leisurely drive to the historic market town of Leominster in heart of Herefordshire.
In the town you will find a wide variety of shops, cafes, pubs and antique shops, making Leominster the ideal place for relaxed lunch stop.
This afternoon we take you on a ‘mini tour’ of Hereford’s much-loved ‘Black and White village heritage trail’ with stops (time permitting) in the chocolate-box villages of Kington, Lyonshall and Pembridge before heading north to Ludlow to spend the evening in our very own ‘Black and White’ building – the famous ‘Feathers’ hotel.
Settle into your comfortable ensuite room and look forward to a traditional Christmas dinner this evening.
Afterwards, why not relax with a tipple or two in the bar or perhaps explore one of the traditonal watering holes in town – just a stroll away
Day 2: A hearty ‘Feathers’ breakfast awaits you and then you have the morning free to explore this wonderful little town.
The town centre is a like a backdrop from a lavish TV period drama. It’s a 900 year-old Norman market town with medieval streets that survive to this day almost intact. In the town centre modern buildings are few and far between. The streets are lined with the kind of architectural gems that most towns would be lucky to have one or two of! Georgian, Tudor, Jacobean and Norman buildings give the town an amazing character. There’s more than 500 listed buildings in Ludlow (not least of all, our hotel).
We’ll leave Ludlow early afternoon and head for home.
