Of course, the highlight of this Spring jaunt is the beautiful acres of blooms for which Holland is blessed but there’s a lot more to this trip yet…
Day 1: We travel to Folkestone and board the Eurotunnel to Calais. From here we soon cross the border into Belgium and then into Holland to our unusual hotel in Rotterdam where we stay for 3 nights.
Day 2: There’s no rival to the Bulbfields of the famous Keukenhof Gardens so that’s where we are off to today. 7 million bulbs, 800 varieties, itself a unique and unforgettable experience but there’s also inspirational gardens, artwork and impromptu events.
Day 3: Today we see one of the Netherlands oldest cities – Utrecht. It’s beautiful, ancient in parts, compact and easy to get around on foot or by leisurely *boat through the network of pretty canals. You’ll enjoy your free time here, time to seek out the city’s hidden treasure amongst the quaint shops and chocolate sellers.
*Canal cruise included
Later today we see the Windmills at the UNESCO world heritage site at Kinderdijk. Entrance and visitor centre included.
Day 4: After breakfast its time to go home. Back to Calais and Folkestone and home.
Price includes: 3 nights, D/B/B, coach, eurotunnel and trips out as shown. Single room supplement £150
