This magical short cruise criss-crosses Holland’s largest Lake, calling at beautifully-preserved traditional towns and features the spectacular bulbfields of the famous Keukenhof Gardens
Day 1: Travelling south, we’ll find somewhere nice to stop on the way and then stay overnight within half an hour of the Eurotunnel Terminal near Folkestone.
Day 2: An early breakfast then we leave for Eurotunnel. Once in Calais we head for the Belgium border and on into Holland arriving in Amsterdam to embark our River Cruiser MS Serenity late afternoon.
Soon after, we set sail for our overnight berth at Hoorn on the northen shores of the famous Ljesslmeer.
Day 3: From Hoorn we cruise over to the eastern shores of the Ljesslmeer to the historic town of Kampen, arriving midday.
This afternoon, we have included an excursion to the beautiful formal gardens of Het Loo Palace – a former residence of the Dutch Royal family.
After our trip to the Palace, we’ll be back on board in good time for dinner. We stay berthed in Kampen overnight so, this evening you have the opportunity to go ashore and explore the delightful and beautifully preserved town centre.
Day 4: We sail from Kampen early this morning and arrive at the lively, small port of Lelystad around 09:30. From here we have arranged a trip to the famous Keukenhof Gardens. This is a full day – Keukenhof being 1½ hours’ drive and we enjoy around 4 hours at Keunkenhof.
Whilst we are out for the day, our ship returns to Amsterdam and we re-join MS Serenity in Amsterdam later this afternoon for a final evening on board or you may choose to go ashore and sample the nightlife of this wonderful city.
Day 5: We dis-embark after breakfast and head back to Calais and board our Eurotunnel service back to Folkestone and home
