Anyone who stays in this part of Scotland is in for a real treat. It’s not too far to reach so it’s perfect for a Christmas Holiday and yet it’s arguably the most beautiful location in Scotland with Lochs, Glens, and pretty villages at every turn.
23rd Dec: Meet our coach this morning for a leisurely journey up into Scotland as we head for Gourock. From here we take the Ferry over to Dunoon (takes about half an hour and there’s lovely views of the Islands of Bute and Cumbrae) we land at Hunters Quay and from here it’s only a short way to the hotel in Dunoon.
Settle-in and look forward to welcome refreshments, sherry and mince pies.
Later, a 5-course dinner followed by entertainment.
Christmas Eve: After a hearty breakfast you’ll enjoy a morning trip out to the beautiful Cowal Peninsula. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and it’s on our doorstep - just to the west of Dunoon, the region lies between Loch Fyne and Loch Long. We’ll have a coffee stop along the way at Benmore Gardens.
We return to our hotel for lunch around 12:30pm.
After dinner this evening the hotel have arranged a splendid evening of traditional Scottish entertainment.
Christmas Day: A super day is all laid out for you and you don’t have to lift a finger! Starting with a hearty breakfast, refreshments at midday, a splendid Christmas lunch with glass of wine is served at 3:30pm. Refreshments and games are available at 6:30pm then entertainment throughout the evening with a light buffet served around 9pm
Boxing Day: Breakfast is followed by a morning trip to Inveraray and we return to the hotel for lunch.
There’s some fun games arranged this afternoon or you could take a stroll around Dunoon.
Tonight, there’s a farewell dinner at 7pm followed by another evening of entertainment
27th Dec: After a last, hearty, Scottish breakfast, sadly, it’s time to go home
