Hayling Island lies between the vibrant cities of Chichester and Portsmouth. Mill Rythe is set in the countryside but with a lovely waterside location (see picture).
The main building (reception, ballroom, swimming pool and restaurant) is in the middle of the site with chalets all around set in landscaped, attractive gardens.
There’s many facilities such as indoor and outdoor pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, all weather bowls, snooker, coffee shop, salon and tennis courts.
Nightly entertainment is a very strong point at Mill Rythe and something they take great pride in. There’s a large ballroom with a full stage and a proper light and sound system. The resident entertainment team’s costumed shows are produced by a renowned west-end producer and attain an impressive professional level that you wouldn’t normally expect in a hotel. In addition to this they often have visiting guest artists.
Meals at Mill Rythe are good traditional tasty fare. You start the day with a full English breakfast or there’s also plenty of lighter options too if you prefer.
You’ll find evening meals probably offer you more choice than the run of the mill. To start, there’s a big help-yourself salad bar with lots of choice items or a different Soup each evening. You have a choice of 2 main courses served at your table or you may fancy tonight’s ‘taste of the world’ dish such as Italian or Indian, etc. Plus, there’s always freshly made Pizza and Omelette available and a Vegetarian option.
