Mill Rythe 'GB Tours Get-together' (J)

Hayling Island lies between the vibrant cities of Chichester and Portsmouth. Mill Rythe is set in the countryside but with a lovely waterside location (see picture).

The main building (reception, ballroom, swimming pool and restaurant) is in the middle of the site with chalets all around set in landscaped, attractive gardens.

There’s many facilities such as indoor and outdoor pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, all weather bowls, snooker, coffee shop, salon and tennis courts.

Nightly entertainment is a very strong point at Mill Rythe and something they take great pride in. There’s a large ballroom with a full stage and a proper light and sound system. The resident entertainment team’s costumed shows are produced by a renowned west-end producer and attain an impressive professional level that you wouldn’t normally expect in a hotel. In addition to this they often have visiting guest artists.

Meals at Mill Rythe are good traditional tasty fare. You start the day with a full English breakfast or there’s also plenty of lighter options too if you prefer.

You’ll find evening meals probably offer you more choice than the run of the mill.  To start, there’s a big help-yourself salad bar with lots of choice items or a different Soup each evening. You have a choice of 2 main courses served at your table or you may fancy tonight’s ‘taste of the world’ dish such as Italian or Indian, etc. Plus, there’s always freshly made Pizza and Omelette available and a Vegetarian option.

Day 1:  Join our coach as we take a leisurely drive down to Hampshire. We’ll arrive at Mill Rythe late afternoon. Time to settle-in, get acquainted with the place and look forward to your first evening of entertainment after dinner.

Day 2: Morning trip to the delightful village of Lyndhurst in the New Forest. A pleasant place to spend an hour or two before we return to Mill Rythe for lunch.

Day 3:  Trip out to the lovely city of Salisbury.  Plenty of time to wander and explore the shops and of course the famous Cathedral (full day with packed lunch included).

Day 4:  Half day trip to the pretty riverside town of Arundel - dominated by its beautiful Castle, surrounded by magnificent grounds. Arundel has a rich mixture of medieval and Victorian architecture, cobbled streets, narrow lanes, and antique shops, small museums and cosy tea-rooms. We return to Mill Rythe for lunch

Day 5:  A last hearty breakfast then we set off for home - arriving back late afternoon.
