Day 1: Join the coach on Sunday morning for our leisurely journey to Snowshill Manor.
This 16th Century Cotswold manor house, best known for its former owner Charles Wade. An eccentric man who amassed an enormous collection of objects that interested him.
At times when Snowshill is unavailable we see Chastleton House – a Jacobean masterpiece unchanged in parts for 400 years.
Inside the house you will discover extraordinary treasures that he restored and displayed throughout his lifetime. Our entrance ticket also includes access to the Gardens – after all, every great manor house has an equally great garden and Snowshill is no exception.
After our time at Snowshill, we’ll continue on with our journey and head to the historic riverside town of Tewkesbury and enjoy a cream tea opposite the world famous ancient Tewkesbury Abbey.
We leave Tewkesbury around 4pm and have an hour’s drive to our hotel near Gloucester. Arrive with time to settle-in and freshen up before dinner this evening.
After dinner you may like to relax with a drink in the bar or enjoy a dip in the pool or a workout in the Gym.
Guest rooms have movies on demand, internet access, en-suite bathrooms, etc.
Day 2: Enjoy a hearty breakfast before we leave the hotel and board our coach and see 3 of the nicest towns and villages of the Cotswolds. First stop, Bourton-on-the-Water, then on to Stow-on-the-Wold (time for lunch in Stow) and finally, sleepy Broadway, possibly the most picturesque of all. We leave the Cotswolds mid-afternoon and arrive home early evening.
