Esplanade Hotel

Hogmany in Scotland

Itinerary

Anyone who stays in this part of Scotland is in for a real treat. It’s not too far to reach so it’s perfect for a New Year Break and yet it’s arguably the most beautiful location in Scotland with Lochs, Glens,  and pretty villages at every turn.

Itinerary

4-day trip celebrating New Year at the Esplanade Hotel, Dunoon…

Dec 30th: Meet our coach this morning for a leisurely journey up into Scotland as we head for Gourock. From here we take the Ferry over to Dunoon (takes about half an hour and there’s lovely views of the Islands of Bute and Cumbrae) we land at Hunters Quay and from here it’s only a short way to the hotel in Dunoon.
Settle-in and look forward to dinner this evening followed by the first night of entertainment.

Dec 31st:  A hearty breakfast with a glass of Bucks Fizz then you’ll enjoy a morning trip out to the beautiful Cowal Peninsula. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty and it’s on our doorstep - just to the west of Dunoon, the region lies between Loch Fyne and Loch Long. We’ll have a coffee stop along the way at Benmore Gardens.
Return to our hotel for lunch.
Look forward to a gala dinner this evening followed by live entertainment and party atmosphere as we count down to Midnight!

Jan 1st:  Start your New Year day with a good, leisurely breakfast and then for those who feel like it - a trip to clear the cobwebs away!
A picture-postcard drive through the Argyll Forest and along the shores of Loch Fyne and spend time in Inveraray.
Tonight we diners are welcomed with a glass of Bubbly before we sit down to dinner and then later, a final evening of entertainment

Jan 2nd:  Enjoy a last, hearty breakfast before we set off for home.
