For the majority of trips we use three and four star hotels, and all of our coaches are executive models, meaning you’re ensured a comfortable journey. And of course – unlike some other coach companies – we never use feeder coaches, meaning you get on the coach at your local pick-up point and stay on it, in the same seat, throughout your holiday. What’s not to like?
Christmas at Moorland Hotel, Dartmoor (D) My wife and i have yet again had an excellent Christmas stay at the Moorland Hotel. Lakeside were brilliant as always and Andy, our driver, was again fantastic. The Hotel room was beautiful, the hotel service at reception, bar and restaurant was outstanding and the food was just superb. We thoroughly enjoyed the organised trips out and would recommend this trip to anyone. Excellent value

23rd Dec: We arrive at our hotel this afternoon for 4 nights.Christmas Eve: Buckfast Abbey is a working monastery where a community of Benedictine monks live self-sufficiently. At the heart is the Abbey Church, a spiritual haven.Cristmas Day: The hotel has a full programme for today complete with sumptuous traditional lunch. Enjoy!Boxing Day: Not many places open today but Exeter city is so let’s go and have a casual day here with free time to look around the shops and sights.27th Dec: After a last Moorland breakfast, we head for home.Price includes: 4 nights D/B/B basis with trips out as shown including associated fees. Recently refurbished to a 4-star standard, the hotel is set in 11 acres of landscaped grounds, paddocks and woodland. Wild ponies are often found grazing nearby and the open expanse of the moor provides adventurous walking or cycling if either is your thing. Along with breathtaking views the hotel is steeped in history and, Agatha Christie write her very first novel here. Ava Gardner, Robert Taylor and Mel Ferrer et al have also been guests! Comfortable ensuite guest rooms have sumptuous beds with cool linen and full amenities - so settle in and enjoy the view from your windows!
