5 Days- LOO2

There’s something rather magical about Looe…
Colourful fishing boats bob gently in the harbour, seagulls wheel overhead and the scent of the sea drifts through narrow winding streets lined with cafés, shops and traditional pubs.

Itinerary

One of Cornwall’s prettiest fishing towns, Looe perfectly captures the charm of a traditional seaside holiday — relaxed, scenic and wonderfully unspoilt.

And in a truly enviable setting overlooking the harbour sits the excellent Portbyhan Hotel, enjoying one of the finest and most scenic locations in Looe. Watch the boats come and go, soak up the ever-changing waterfront views and simply relax as Cornwall unfolds right outside your window.

With its sandy beach, bustling quayside and spectacular coastal scenery, it’s easy to see why visitors return to Looe year after year.

Day 1: Join our coach this morning for our journey down to Cornwall. With one or two comfort stops on the way, we’ll arrive at our hotel this afternoon. You’ll be able to check in and settle into your en-suite room before dinner this evening.

Day 2: Today we visit the fishing village of Padstow. Padstow is full of Cornish charm - a quaint quayside with colourful fishing boats and narrow cobbled streets with cosy pubs, tea rooms and small shops selling local crafts, art, and locally produced food.

After a while in Padstow, we head a little further up the coast to the village of Tintagel - where you will find numerous shops, tea shops and cosy pubs. According to legend, King Arthur was said to be born on Tintagel Island, where the remains of the 13th century castle stand today.

Day 3: After breakfast you board the coach for a trip to Truro - a small, bustling city that’s easy to get around, with lots of character and interesting things to see, from the flowing rivers to the picturesque Georgian streets, the 18th and 19th century town houses and the magnificent Victorian cathedral which dominates the city.

Day 4: A free day today so you can relax and enjoy Looe at your own pace.

Day 5: After breakfast we bid farewell to Cornwall and head for home.

Please Note: Running order of days out may be swapped around at times.
