Day 1: En route to Holyhead ferry terminal for the afternoon crossing to Dublin.
Bantry is a good way south, so we stop half-way (sort-of) and stay overnight in the town of Carlow.
Day 2: With time on our hands before we reach Bantry we spend it wisely with a 2 to 3 hour stop in Cork. You’ll have time for lunch and good look around.
We reach our hotel just outside the town of Bantry late afternoon and settle in for the next 3 nights.
Day 3: Today we see Bantry House and Gardens a beautiful Stately home and Estate overlooking Bantry Bay – Cameras at the ready!
Day 4: A trip by boat to Garinish Island – Ireland’s ‘Garden of Eden’ is a garden of rare beauty – created some 70 years ago.
This afternoon we cross the fantastically scenic Beara Peninsula to the town of Kenmare - an historic and designated heritage town with a lot to offer and a great choice of places to have lunch if you wish.
Day 5: Leaving Bantry after breakfast and heading to Kilkenny we visit the town’s most famous landmark for the last 800 years – Kilkenny Castle.
Later we check into our hotel in Carlow for a final night in Ireland.
Day 6: Depart for Dublin and the afternoon ferry back to Holyhead and home.
