Day 1: We arrive at our hotel by the lake on the outskirts of the city of Cambridge this afternoon for 4 nights.
Day 2: Today we see the fascinating Bletchley Park. Once the top-secret home of the World War Two Codebreakers, is now a vibrant heritage attraction and museum. Step back in time to experience the extraordinary achievements of the men and women who worked there. A place of exceptional historical importance, Bletchley Park is also the birthplace of modern computing and has helped shape life as we know it today. Explore the beautiful grounds and historic buildings with hands-on displays and interactives. Highlights include the restored codebreaking huts, with their WW2 ambience faithfully recreated and the atmospheric soundscapes, galleries and exhibitions."
Day 3: We spend some time in Saint Ives before heading to Ely, where we visit Oliver Cromwell’s House before finishing with a cream tea in a cafe in the grounds of the cathedral.
Day 4: Today we take you into the captivating city of Cambridge where you can enjoy ample free time. Suggestions for your time here include the world famous Fitzwilliam Museum, Kings College and Kings College Chapel and Punting on the river Cam and the ‘Hop On Hop Off’ sightseeing Bus is a great way to see the sights of the city.
Day 5: After breakfast, we depart for home.
