Day 1: We drive to Dover, and then over to Calais via the ferry. From here we make our way to our hotel in Northern France for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Arrive in the picturesque city of Lucerne, Switzerland where we will be staying for 3 nights. Lucerne has many attractions, including a pretty Old Town.
Day 3: A trip on the panoramic Golden Pass Railway from Lucerne to Brienz. On arrival in Brienz we have a scenic Lake cruise to the town of Interlaken which is set in the middle of two beautiful lakes. You can enjoy some free time here before we return to our hotel.
Day 4: A free day to explore Lucerne at your own pace. The compact town centre with its preserved Medieval architecture is filled with a generous choice of shops and restaurants, museums and boat cruises for you to enjoy.
Day 5: Today we take the wonderfully scenic Glacier Express Train from Andermatt to Chur and enjoy some free time here before we head to our second Swiss hotel, in the town of Davos.
Day 6: A free day to explore Davos – a lovely Swiss Alpine town - the highest town in Europe, surrounded by mountain scenery with a great selection of bars and restaurants and boutiques selling sports, watches, jewellery and handicrafts.
Day 7: Our third and final train trip today when we take the Bernina Express from Filisur to Tirano, Italy. First, we take the local train from Davos to Filisur and then join the Bernina Express. After some free time in Tirano we head back to our hotel in Davos.
Day 8: After breakfast, we bid farewell to Switzerland and head to our overnight hotel in Northern France.
Day 9: On our last day, after breakfast we depart for Calais and an afternoon crossing back to Dover and continue home.

Glacier Express Train, Andermatt to Chur
Often called the window to the Alps, the Glacier Express travels all the way from St Moritz to Zermatt. Our journey starts from the beautiful mountainous village of Andermatt to the city of Chur, a picture-postcard old town on the banks of the River Rhine.
Bernina Express, Filisur to Tirano, Italy
The Bernina Express takes travellers across Switzerland and into Italy, across plenty of stunning scenery.
The train’s large windows allow great views of the unspoilt Alpine landscape – so don’t forget your camera! The lovely historic Italian village of Tirano awaits at the end of the line.
