On the first floor to explore period rooms that depict domestic life in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. You'll find a nursery filled with antique toys, a kitchen showcasing vintage appliances, and a dentist's office featuring a foot-operated drill—offering a vivid glimpse into daily life of the time. Buckfast Abbey
Buckfast Abbey, nestled in a picturesque valley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, England, is a living Benedictine monastery that offers visitors a unique blend of spiritual tranquillity, historical significance, and natural beauty.
Founded in 1018, Buckfast Abbey has a rich monastic heritage. The current abbey church, reconstructed in the early 20th century, serves as a place of prayer, work, and study for a community of Roman Catholic Benedictine monks. Visitors can witness the monks' daily life and participate in the peaceful atmosphere of the abbey.
