Day 1: We head to Heysham or Liverpool and take the mid-afternoon ferry to Douglas, Isle of Man and then check-into our hotel in Douglas where we stay for 4 nights.
Day 2: A scenic tour of the north of the Island with a knowledgeable local guide so you’ll see the best and often overlooked gems the island has to offer. Plus, entrance to the Milntown Estate – home to the most historic house on the island.
Day 3: Time at the fascinating Manx Museum in Douglas – featuring artifacts and treasures unique to the Isle of Man, including hordes of Viking silver and relics from all over the Island. Later we go to Port Erin itself and then we head down to The Sound for some wonderful views of the Calf of Man.
Day 4: Today is left free so you can relax and explore Douglas at your own pace. Suggestions include Douglas Promenade and Prom gardens, BEE GEE’s statue (born on the IOM), Tynwald – the Isle of Man Parliament (free tours can often be had!), Gaiety Theatre (lovely café) and the Sir Norman Wisdom statue (retired on the island and buried at Bride Church nr Ramsey).
Day 5: After a last (early) breakfast - it’s time to go home. We take the ferry from Douglas back to Heysham or Liverpool and continue our homeward journey.
