The surrounding grounds are equally impressive, featuring some of Britain's tallest trees and a peaceful setting that perfectly captures the magic of the Scottish Highlands.
There's also a free day to enjoy Dunoon itself. Wander along the attractive promenade overlooking the Firth of Clyde, browse the independent shops, visit Castle House Museum or simply relax in one of the town's welcoming cafés while watching the ferries glide across the water.
