As well as 3 nights at a lovely hotel, you enjoy visiting the quaint Welsh towns of Conwy and Caernarfon, both with magnificent Castles PLUS there’s a cruise from Llangollen to Froncysyllte - crossing of the world famous Pontcysllte Aqueduct - the country’s tallest navigable aqueduct which towers 126 feet above the River Dee - simply spectacular!
Day 1: The coach departs this morning on a leisurely drive into Wales with a stop or two along the way. We’ll arrive at our hotel late afternoon with time to settle-in to the Somerset Hotel Llandudno and look forward to dinner.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast we visit the charming towns of Conwy and then Caernarfon. Dinner and entertainment this evening
Day 3: Today we visit Betws-y-Coed the principal village of the Snowdonia National Park. There’s time for lunch here before we go on to Llangollen and enjoy a peaceful cruise in a motorized cruise boat along the stunning Dee Valley, meandering your way along the canal to Froncysyllte.
Your cruise will finish by passing over the world famous and thrilling Pontcysllte Aqueduct - built in 1805 and still unsurpassed to this day in it’s engineering achievement.
There’s mulled wine and Mince Pies to enjoy while you listen to a live and interesting commentary from the Captain.
Day 4: After a last, hearty ‘Somerset’ breakfast we leave for home.
Situated on the seafront on the Central Promenade, ideally located for the pier and town centre. Lovely public rooms, including a ballroom and regular entertainment in season. All guest rooms are ensuite with full facilities. Lift to all rooms.
